Some great stuff came out the last couple of days, so here’s the update. Usually I’d be posting these tracks in separate posts, but I’ve been quite busy lately. Nonetheless, they’re all fire.
This first track reminds me of Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP’s “We No Speak Americano.” It’s got that old school flavor/vocals mixed in with some subtle dutch house. I think if done properly, this one could spark a similar hype in the clubs that “We No Speak Americano” did and still does so well. The remix EP hit beatport yesterday and includes an Alvaro Remix as well as a Swingdance Mix and Radio Edit. Grab the EP here.

Oh man was this next track a great find. I rarely check the major compilation releases on beatport since they don’t usually include new material, but this one snuck by. It’s the first track on Dance 2 Dance Music’s “Summer Dance Festvial” EP, which you can find here.

Kaskade’s “Fire In Your New Shoes” EP hit beatport yesterday so I’ve included my favorite of the remixes, the Innerpartysystem Extended Mix. The EP also includes remixes by Angger Dimas, Joachim Garraud, and Ming, which you can find here.

Swedish House Mafia’s new track dropped Monday on beatport and it does the job, I’m just getting tired of their sound. This track sounds way too similar to “One” for me to take it seriously. It’s dope, don’t get me wrong, and they shit out anthems like it’s nothing, I’m just ready to hear something new and truly original from them. It’s just a matter of time until they throw some vocals on this and re-release it… grab it here.

A rip of Wolfgang Gartner and Deadmau5′s new track “Animal Rights” showed up on the internet a couple days ago, so I’m posting a preview and a video of Wolfgang spinning it at the Avalon for Control Fridays on 8/13/10. The track is dope, you can hear the parts that are clearly influenced by Wolfgang and the parts that are all Deadmau5. I was however expecting a stronger collab from two of the strongest heavy-hitters in the electro house genre. Check out the video I took, it’s pretty funny, around 0:50 a fight breaks out and once security breaks it up everyone just goes back to partying… classic. I hate fights at electro events though, they make the scene look so trashy. Next time, try ignoring the douche that’s bothering you, move, and just enjoy the music. The track is set to hit beatport Monday, September 6th so stay tuned.
Sorry for the low quality video. I just recently lost my flip cam.
