Three One Oh! Artist Spotlight: Dillon Francis
Once again, we bring you fellow memeber of the “Three One Oh!” familiy and dub-step aficionado DILLON FRANCIS….
Watch the video, learn yourselves. You may remember his Dr. Hollywood remix I posted a while back, which was on a Free E.P. exclusively hosted by Three One Oh! Records. Can’t say how proud I am of this kid, he continuously steps it up track after track. We’ve been in the studio together recently cooking up some heat, and I got a sneak peak of some of his upcoming work…. Wowzers. Thats all I’m gonna say about that.
This post has 3 main points… First, to show off Dillon’s track that was and still is a festival favorite of MAJOR LAZER; WESTSIDEEEEEE. Second, to give you a listen to one of his upcoming tracks “When She Turns 18″, with Christian TV (real cool dude also and great musician) that dubstep superstar ’12th PLANET’ has been playing in every one of his sets as well. And the last point, so in a year or two from now I can say, “I TOLD YOU SO”.

Here’s the Kue.
Don’t ever fall asleep on Mike Morales, more commonly known as DJ Kue. The Northern California native has 15 years of djing under his belt and his productions have recently grown nothing short of stellar. His ability to flawlessly remix top40 tracks sets him apart from the rest of the bunch, catapulting him into the clubs and onto the radio. As if the man hasn’t already done enough for you, he’s recently uploaded all of his tracks and made them available for download. Yes, I said ALL of his tracks… of course with the exception of recent ones. Enjoy diving into this archive.
But on to his recent stuff. His remix of Plus Five’s “Hold On To Me” was just released and oh boy is it a jam. Grab the full EP here.

This track has been getting played on the radio and in the clubs like it’s a Black Eyed Peas track. A couple more remixes like this and Kue will be on top of the charts, waving down to us.

‘Fire In Your New Shoes’ Music Video.
Here’s Kaskade’s brand new music video for “Fire In Your New Shoes,” in my opinion one of the strongest tracks off of the Dynasty album. It’s not the most interesting video (judging by the fact that it’s entirely about women’s fashion), but at least more dance music songs are getting music videos. The album debuted at #5 on iTunes and spent three consecutive weeks in the top ten, a clear indication of house music’s sudden transition to mainstream. For some behind the scenes footage of the video shoot and more info on the Kaskade/Dragonette collab, check out this MTV article. I’ve also included the download link for the track.
The Predator.
This track is right on the money. Blame Ibiza for making me post tracks like this. I love it.
“Cut & Splice aka Josh McInnes unleashes his 2ns single on Big In Ibiza following a string of killer remixes and drops a funky, jacking, peak time electro smash that twists and turns in a mash up of electronic goodness! Named after the synth plug in used to create the infectious riff, this is ‘The Predator”. – Big In Ibiza.com. For more information on Cut & Splice, check out his website. Don’t forget to purchase the track here.

Feel The Need.
S.co and I are huge fans of the synth in this track. It’s a perfect example of how simple yet effective a good track can be. It’s also the style of electro house that originally sparked my obsession for dance music. Grab these tracks and the rest of the EP here.

In my opinion, the vocals are a bit distracting so I’ve included the dub mix. I think it would sound good with different vocals though… I bet somebody could make a mean bootleg out of this. If anyone does send it over.

Thee Anthem Is Here!!!
Thee Anthem has arrived. The first time I heard this track I knew it would be large. Prydz let us knew it was coming with a teaser video of his version and Pete Tong previewed the Felix original on his weekly radio show. Both versions are similar, but Prydz took out the heavy bass-line and added some mellow sounds to make it more progressive. The arpeggiator he added to the beginning adds a nice touch to the track. Grab the EP here.

Watch The Club Go.
It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post a Calvertron track. He’s fallen so deep into the world of fidget house production that I didn’t think he’d ever find his way out. He finally has with his remix of DJ Bam Bam’s “Watch The Club Go,” adding new drums to the track and a progressive breakdown starting at 2:29. I’m curious to see what the readers think of the dutchy vocal sample on the new bass-line around 3:43. As most of Bam Bam’s tracks do, the release also came with DJ Tools for all you remixers. Grab them and the track here.

Take Over Control.
[Eva Simons]
We gave you a preview of it last month, it’s on the new album, and it leaked yesterday.
UPDATE: This track has been widely mislabeled. It’s actually called Plug It In.

And here’s some more fire coming out of Brazil. DirtyLoud caught my attention with their remix of “Apes From Space” and they continue to deliver with this one.

Chrizz!!!
The first time I played a Chrizz Luvly track I thought he sounded like Spencer & Hill. After hearing a couple more of his tracks it became clear to me that he’s more than familiar with their production style. In my opinion, he’s the first producer to mimick their sound effectively. After posting “Make It Right” a month ago, I knew this guy would be a regular on the 310 blog. “Naughty Girl” and “Release The Feeling” are going straight into the hit vaults. Seriously top-notch stuff. Support the man from Brazil and purchase the EP here.

He has some tracks with blatant Spencer & Hill samples. His track “I Get In U Say Ai” is basically S&H’s remix of “Relax” with different vocals, and his track “Dizzco Xow” has a sample from their “For An Angel 09″ remix. Not his best work… just interesting.
